I really like that this is a longer short without being too long. I wanted something that didn't look like something my mom would wear while still being a little longer in the thigh so I'm not constantly tugging it down. I am petite (0-2) but also more athletic build so that can make shorts fall even shorter. I bought a 0 and a 2 and I like both.....2 for when I am feeling a little bloated because the waist is looser (though the butt is not quite as tight as I like it) and 0 otherwise. I imagine if you fall between sizes you could go either way as there is definitely some stretch and they are super comfortable.
