These jeans washed and dried beautifully, that said the leg opening was 20 inches, before and after washing and drying them.

At least in my closet. But, I was pleasantly surprised that I really do like these jeans. I read all the reviews and went down from a four to a two and very happy that I made the choice because for 5 ft. 110 lbs, the two fit nicely. The length was also good as I like jeans that just hit the top of my shoes.

I returned these jeans because they did not fit like the model in the advertisement. They look cropped but they are not.
